"Naked in Eden is a can't-put-it-down thrilling account of who we really are - and why our connection with the natural world is so healing and vital. The is book is a page turner. I couldn't help but think, 'I want to see the movie!'"   ~ Christiane Northrup, M.D

Naked in Eden, is a book based on Robin Easton's adventures in the oldest tropical rainforest on Earth, the Daintree Rainforest of Queensland, Australia. Robin was compelled to write this book in hopes that it would create awareness of this ancient rainforest, and help to save it from slipping silently into extinction.

After living years in the wild and returning to society she discovered that writing kept her in touch with her forest reality, a way of life she found scarce in our modern world. This tale takes us back to an ancient and forgotten time and way of being, to a world in love with itself.

While most of us live in a society that domesticates the human animal our spirits hunger for nourishment. We crave an outlet for the experiential, the wild and the adventurous, something that was a part of our ancestor's daily lives. The more modern we become the more genuine our need to feel the things that we are unable to experience in our home to office to school lives.

Robin Easton spent years of her life in the wilderness. Such an extended time detached from society allowed her to discern and challenge her cultural conditioning. Moved beyond the usual "vacation in nature" context and into "this is my permanent life" setting gave her the opportunity to witness firsthand the secret lives of animals and plants, to experience the moods, life cycles and wisdom of the Australian rainforest. Naked in Eden entwines the adventurous, the spiritual, and the environmental until it is difficult to separate one aspect from the other. Which is what happens when one lives intimately with the Earth.

Millennia ago the human animal lived in daily concert with Mother Earth. Physical and Spiritual; there was no separation. Now, in these disconnected times, we move away from the garden and our own wildness so completely that we often grasp only a vague concept of ‘wild’. Naked in Eden invites us to remember our love for and connection to the natural world around us. We can awaken from the anesthetizing affects of modern society, heal from the harried fragmentation of too many demands, and respond to, be nourished and loved by nature, right in our own back yards.

Naked in Eden is a deeply evocative book. Using astonishing real-life adventure stories and spiritual insights Robin embraces the reader and takes him or her on a rainforest journey of self-discovery. This story will inspire both those who are already in love with nature and those who prefer to observe from their window. It is written to remind us that although we appear to live "blissfully" under social conditioning and seem to accept our domestication, deep in our core lives the magnificent wild human-animal, passionately yearning for relationship with the living Earth.
